Duplicated orders mean disappointed customers.
Keep your online shopping basket in order and keep your websites reputation in the positive with your customers.
Just another small - but useful - feature found in our ecommerce website design suite.
Why does this matter?
If you’re controlling your back room, make sure customers can’t buy items that are out of stock.
Avoid Confusion
- Say you only have one of a certain type of item left in stock.
- Someone adds it to their basket.
- They’re thinking about whether to buy or not.
- They could leave it in their basket while deciding.
Conflicting Baskets
- Another person may come along and decide they want it too.
- If they can purchase it, you could get two orders through when you only have one item!
- It’s embarrassing to have to tell one customer that they can’t have what they want.
What do we do?
When the last of an item is in someone’s basket, we ensure that it cannot be purchased by anyone else.
Blocked
- We temporarily count all items in-basket as “purchased.”
- They are accounted for, as such, in your stock.
Reset
- After a time, if not purchased, the item is “released” back into availability.
- There’s no confusion and no duplicate ordering.
